Houston’s tree pollen counts have doubled since Thursday. I literally felt the increase around 6 PM yesterday as I went for a post-work walk. We’re expecting a cold spell for a bit, so I would anticipate seeing a decline in volume again before it ramps back up heavily.

On the tree side, cedar has surged back strongly, almost tripling from its Thursday count. Ash and elm are also both up significantly.

On the mold side, we’re observing another doubling of the mold numbers. Usually, I can track the increase to Cladosporium, but this time, the increase is due to Ascomycetes mostly.
